Can the Seahawks surprise us for the second straight week?
The New Orleans Saints are on the road this weekend as they face the Seattle Seahawks in their 2011 NFL wild card round match-up in the NFL playoffs.
The New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl last year, however if they are going to repeat as NFL champions they'll have to win a bunch of road games. The Saints enter the post-season as a wild card team and, because of the Seahawks winning their division despite having a worse record than New Orleans, the Saints will have to travel to Seattle this upcoming weekend to face the Seahawks.
Still, that's not that bad of a match-up for New Orleans as, like I pointed out, these Seattle Seahawks are the least deserving team in the playoffs this year. The Seahawks enter the post-season with a weak 7-9 record, the winners of a division that lacked a talented team.
The Saints are 11-5 overall this season, good enough for the 5th seed in the NFC, and they have been very effective on the road. With a visiting record of 6-2, despite not being the home team on wild card Weekend, there is every reason to expect the Saints to beat Seattle.
For the most part, the Saints gave us what we expected this season. The defending champs aired the ball out as always and produced the No. 3 passing attack in the league. Drew Brees threw for 4,620 yards and 33 scores, marching the offense downfield game in, game out.
